Dussehra: the victory of the truth over the evil power.
The festival of Dussehra is celebrating every year by the Hindu religion all over India. It falls every year in September or October, before twenty days of Dewali.
It is rejoicing by the Hindu religion in the happiness of winning Lord Rama over the king Ravana. The Dussehra symbolises the victory of the truth over evil power.

Dusshera is also known as Vijayadashami, which is a combination of two words that is “Vijaya” means “Victory” and “Dashami’ means “Tenth”.
It is ten days long festival. First nine days involves the worship of Durga, that’s why it called a Navratra festival. On the tenth-day, people celebrate Navratra by burning the cartoon of the demon king Ravana

India is a country, which is a very famous country for its tradition and culture, fairs and festivals. It is a country, where the people celebrate and enjoy every festival with great joy and faith. The celebration of Dussehra was declared by the government of India as the holiday to allow people to enjoy this Hindu festival fully. The real meaning of the Dussehra is the defeat of ten-headed demon on the tenth day of this festival.
People celebrate Dussehra festival, means the tenth day as Vijaya Dashmi by the organising a big fair or Ram-Lila, where they show the life history of Lord Rama.
The Ram-Lila indicates the legends behind celebrating the Vijay Dashmi which are Lord Rama and Ravana. It shows the history of the kidnapping of Seeta, the victory of Rama and defeats and kills of the demon king Ravana, his brother Kumbhkarana and son Meghnath. Real people play the roles of the Rama, Seeta, Lakshman and Hanuman. They make the paper statue of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnath. In the end, they burn all the statutes shows the victory of Lord Rama and the killing of Ravana with the sound of crackers.
